Just a few miles south of Phoenix, South Mountain Park Scenic Drive, is an amazing site which has been mentioned as the largest city park in the world. With nearly 17,000 acres, South Mountain is part of the Phoenix Mountains Preserve System and it's a popular spot to go horse riding, hiking and biking through 58 miles of trails or to simply enjoy the impressive Phoenix views and breathtaking sunsets. Once Upon a Wish
A Phoenix landmark, Mystery Castle was built by Boyce Luther Gulley built to fulfill the fantasies of his 4-year-old princess. The castle was constructed using stones, automobile parts, rail tracks and even telephone poles. Gulley's daughter, Mary Lou, still lives there and personally leads tours through this imaginative work of architecture which features 18 rooms, 13 fireplaces, parapets, a chapel, cantina, and a dungeon.
