Getting to JFK
Subway and AirTrain
Take the E, J or Z subway lines to Jamaica (Sutphin-Archer Avenue station) or the A subway line to Howard Beach station. From there, take the AirTrain to Terminal 5/6. The AirTrain fare to/from the airport terminals and the Jamaica or Howard Beach stations is $5 per person.
Long Island Rail Road (LIRR)
Take the Long Island Rail Road commuter rail service from Long Island and New York City to Jamaica station. From there, take the AirTrain to Terminal 5/6. The AirTrain fare to/from the airport terminals and the Jamaica or Howard Beach stations is $5 per person.
Get driving directions to JFK.
Please park at our parking garage at Terminal 5/6 (the yellow lot) and follow the signs for the skywalk to T5.
Kiss 'n' fly
Avoid parking costs and airport traffic. Get dropped off and picked up at the free "Kiss 'n' fly" lot, located at the Lefferts Boulevard exit off the Van Wyck Expressway. From there, customers can take the Airtrain and ride free to all airport terminals.
Cell phone lot
If you're picking someone up from T5, save gas and tedious circling by pulling into the cell phone lot, located off the Federal Circle exit of the Van Wyck Expressway. The traveler can then call as soon as they land.
Go to jetblue.com to check in (online check-in is available 24 hours to 90 minutes before your flight's scheduled departure time) and print your boarding pass from your computer. Then, at T5 all you have to do is go straight to bag drop (if you have a bag to check) or through security.
- Go to jetblue.com and select "Manage flights"
- Enter your booking confirmation number
- Select or change your seats
- Enter the number of bags each traveler will check
- Read and respond to the hazardous materials questions
- Print your boarding pass
Kiosk check in
Use a self-service kiosk at T5 for fast and easy check-in. Simply touch the screen to activate the kiosk and follow the on-screen instructions. At a kiosk, you can:
- Choose your seat and see its location on the aircraft
- Check in for a connecting or return flight up to 24 hours before departure
- Print your boarding pass
- Touch screen to activate the kiosk
- Enter your booking confirmation number or swipe a credit/debit card (it will not be charged) as a form of identification, or enter your TrueBlue number or scan your itinerary barcode
Once you receive your boarding pass, go to the Bag Drop (if you have bags to check) or straight to security.

Our self bag drop at T5 is a speedy way to check your bags. Here are a few helpful tips:
- Place all wheelie bags with the wheels up
- Place soft-sided bags or fragile items in a bin
- Take long straps off bags so that they don't get caught
- Keep children away from the bag belt to avoid injury
Full service check-in
Save time by checking in and dropping your bags at curbside check-in. Curbside check-in is available for $2 per bag.

If you're traveling on an international flight from T5, you must check in at a Full Service counter. We recommend that you get to the airport at least two hours before your flight, as you must check in at least 60 minutes before your international flight's scheduled departure time.

Checking in unaccompanied minors
To check in an unaccompanied minor, please go to a Full Service counter at T5. If you're picking up an unaccompanied minor, please go to the Baggage Services office on the Arrivals level of T5. Please ask a JetBlue crewmember if you need assistance.

Checking a wheelchair
To check a wheelchair, please go to a Full Service counter at T5. JetBlue transports all types of personal wheelchairs, including folding, collapsible or non-folding manual wheelchairs, battery-powered wheelchairs and scooters, and other assistive devices.
Wheelchairs are available for use at T5.

Checking in pets
JetBlue gladly accepts small cats and dogs in the cabin of the aircraft on both domestic and international flights. Other animals are not allowed. To travel with your pet, you must call our Reservations team at 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583) to verify availability for the flights you are considering. There is a non-refundable pet fee for each flight segment. If you are checking in a pet, please go to a Full Service counter at T5. Pets cannot be booked or checked-in online or at a kiosk.
