JetBlue and our airline partners can take you to hundreds of destinations around the world. When you're traveling internationally, it's important to be prepared for the trip and to have the appropriate travel documents.
Customers are responsible for meeting all documentation and proof of citizen requirements for their travel. A valid passport is required for all customers (regardless of age) traveling to or from the United States. For more information on how to obtain, renew or otherwise manage your passport please visit the U.S. Department of State Passport website.
Please note that a passport card cannot be used for airline travel.
All passports must be in good condition (not torn or the information page illegible) per the U.S. Department of State. In general, your passport must be valid for at least six months from the date you enter a foreign country. Some countries require 2 to 4 blank pages available in your passport to travel. If the name on your passport or other travel documents does not match the name on your reservation, you may be required to show additional documents, such as a notarized marriage certificate.
Other documentation in addition to a valid passport may be required. Customers should consult the requirements of the countries they are transiting/visiting on the U.S. Department of State International Travel Information page. Non-U.S. Citizens traveling abroad
Some customers may be eligible for a VISA waiver under the Customs and Border Protection’s ESTA program. Travelers are encouraged to apply when preparing travel plans. For more information on the ESTA program visit the CBP ESTA website.
Documentation for U.S. Territories (Puerto Rico, St. Thomas and St. Croix)
All customers should be prepared for random document and baggage inspections in any U.S. territory. While U.S. citizens are not required to have a passport to enter a U.S. territory, it is recommended to carry proof of US residency or citizenship for the return to the United States.
Citizens of countries other than the U.S./U.S. territory must have a valid passport for travel between the U.S. and any U.S. territory.

For our customers who travel abroad often, the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has a program called Global Entry. This program allows for expedited clearance for pre-approved travelers. To learn more about this program or to apply for future travel, please visit www.globalentry.gov.
When traveling from any of our international destinations to the United States we suggest you arrive at the airport 2-3 hours before your scheduled departure. Recommended check-in times for each international destination are listed below.
Please note: Customers traveling on a International flight with JetBlue are required to check in no later than 60 minutes prior to departure or they will be denied boarding.

Please note: Customers traveling Internationally must check in for their flight during Customs hours of operation (regardless of flight delays) or they will be denied boarding.
On JetBlue your first checked bag flies for free. Each checked bag must not exceed 62" (157.5cm) in overall dimensions (ie. length + width + height) and must not exceed 50 pounds (22.73 kilos).
Note that boxes will not be accepted as checked baggage on international flights. As part of the Customs inspection, your baggage may be examined. If you are selected for a Customs inspection, you will be required to open your baggage at the exam station. Once the inspection is complete, you will be required to repack and close the baggage.
Also note that you may need to collect your baggage after clearing Customs and to recheck it if you are continuing on a flight. Do not assume that your baggage will be transferred for you.
If you'll be carrying additional bags, there is a $50 fee for checking a second bag and a $100 fee for a third bag. For customers traveling to the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Peru and Trinidad & Tobago, please see checked bag requirements for these destinations.

Customers checking baggage for travel to/from the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Peru (if booked on/after April 1, 2014) or Trinidad & Tobago must follow the following guidelines:
Baggage dimensions are determined by adding the length, width, and height together.
Humanitarian organizations transporting supplies will be subject to the same baggage allowances and guidelines as other customers.
We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover Card, American Express, JCB, Diners Club and UATP. Debit cards are accepted with one of the above-listed symbols on them.
If you prefer to pay with cash, traveler's check or money order, you may contact a travel agent or book your reservation at the airport. Be sure to check the airport for the specific hours of operation.
